Located on the northeast corner of North America, Newfoundland and Labrador is Canada's most easterly province. With a population of approximately 550,000, the capital city of St. John’s is also North America’s oldest city. The province stretches 1700 kilometers north to south, and boasts over 17,000 kilometers of coastline! The Strait of Belle Isle separates the province into two geographical divisions, Labrador and the island of Newfoundland. This land has been defined and shaped by sea. The province offers spectacular scenery and dramatic landscapes.
