Yukon is Canada's northwestern territory. Located north of British Columbia, east of the State of Alaska and west of the North West Territories this triangular shaped land is sparsely populated. The Yukon covers 482,443 square kilometres, of which 474,391 kilometers is land and 8,052 kilometers is water. Abound with natural scenic beauty, snowmelt lakes and whitecapped mountains, the geography is characterized by mountainous terrian and glacial valleys. The Yukon is home to many of Canada's highest mountains, including Mount Logan, the highest in Canada.
