Nova Scotia is 53,000 square kilometers (25,000 square miles) in size. It lies on Canada’s east coast and is almost completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. If you stretched out Nova Scotia’s coastline it would be 7,400 kilometers in length, but the overall length of the province is actually only 575 kilometers. The average width is 130 kilometers. The highest point in Nova Scotia is at White Hill Lake in Victoria County, standing 530 meters above sea level at Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
